The Power of Learning: Masks and Mindsets

Some of my favourite lessons aren't about grammar or vocabulary at all — they're about mindset. In this lesson, we explored the idea that everyone has a different learning “superpower”: some students are visual learners, others learn best by listening, and others by moving and doing (kinaesthetic learning). We used masks as a playful way to talk about these different strengths and how each one helps us learn in our own way.

It's moments like these that remind me why I love teaching: watching students discover their own learning superpower, have fun, and realise that understanding how you learn best is just as valuable as what you learn — funtastic, even.
